Enigin News - Big Money Savings For Businesses Via Energy Saving Scheme

“There’s just one month to go until the start of the CRC (Carbon Reduction Commitment) which will see large public and private sector organisations cutting emissions as well as saving money on fuel bills. This is a real opportunity for business and industry to take a leadership role in tackling climate change and gain reputational advantage as a result.”
These words were said by the UKs Energy and Climate Change Minister Joan Ruddock today to alert private and public organisations that the CRC scheme starts on April 1 this year.
The scheme is mandatory and will save participants around £1billion per year by 2020 through cost effective energy efficiency measures that are not yet being taken up.
The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme requires large public and private sector organisations. like supermarkets, hotels, hospitals, local authorities, commerce, industry and central government departments, to improve the energy efficiency.
The aim of the scheme is to help change behaviour and make organisations more energy efficient – to reduce carbon emissions and save money.
The financial savings will be significantly greater than any costs arising from participation, and importantly will make carbon a boardroom issue for many large organisations.
Enigin and their network of Distributors world wide can help business across the globe to save substantial amounts of money and energy by becoming more energy efficient.
